Aymen is a marketing and communications professional with over two decades of successful experience growing corporate and non-profit institutions. Prior to joining Penny Appeal USA, Aymen served as development and communications director for the Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago (CIOGC), where he helped the organization develop vital communications infrastructure and drive record-breaking donations through strategic multi-platform marketing campaigns.
As a media consultant, Aymen has also developed and executed marketing campaigns for industry-leading Fortune 500 brands as well as dozens of national non-profit organizations resulting in increased revenue year-over-year.
Aymen graduated from San Francisco State University with masters and bachelors degrees in broadcast and electronic communication arts, where he received awards for his academic work. As a media researcher with a specific interest in media theory and effects, Aymen is the co-author of How TV News Makes Arabs and Muslims Feel About Themselves in Race/Gender/Class/Media (2nd and 4th editions) and has taught media courses at DePaul University in Chicago and San Francisco State University.
