In the last four years, Oussama has served on the executive teams of two multi-million dollar humanitarian NGOs. An Oxford-trained lawyer, Oussama has diverse experience in program implementation, humanitarian advocacy and operational management for Non-Profits in the UK and the U.S..
Since committing himself to the non-profit sector seven years ago, Oussama has quickly proven himself to be a young leader in the humanitarian sector.
In the last four years, he has served on the executive teams of two multi-million dollar humanitarian NGOs. At Islamic Help he served as the Executive Officer where he provided executive support to the CEO with an emphasis on strategy, business development, governance and reporting. At UMR he served as VP Programs where he was responsible for the overall strategic leadership, management, and operational direction for both global and domestic programs.
Oussama has a strong advocacy and campaigning background and was formerly the Campaigns Manager at Muslim Action for Development & Environment (MADE), a campaign agency that works throughout Europe to tackle the root causes of global poverty and injustice.
Oussama completed a Bachelor’s Degree in History from the University of London (Queen Mary) before attending law school at the University of Oxford. During his Bachelor’s degree, Oussama spent a year in Berkeley, University of California, as an international exchange student.
