In recent months, the escalating attacks on Lebanon have forced hundreds of thousands of people to flee their homes. Thanks to your generous donations, we responded quickly to this crisis, providing much-needed comfort to families facing unimaginable hardship. Here’s how your support has impacted lives, and the story of one family’s journey.
Providing Comfort Amid Hardship
One of the central focuses of our emergency response has been distributing essential items to displaced families, specifically blankets and mattresses. To date, we have provided 805 blankets and 1,055 mattresses. These simple comforts have been a lifeline for those who have lost everything, offering warmth and rest through cold nights.
This large-scale distribution was possible because of close collaboration with local authorities, community leaders, and dedicated volunteers. Their support enabled us to organize each distribution in a culturally sensitive and efficient manner, ensuring that aid reached the people who needed it most.
With more than 400,000 people displaced in the span of days, our team faced several challenges sourcing supplies. Pillows, for example, quickly sold out, with local suppliers raising prices, making it financially unsustainable to secure sufficient quantities. We adapted by directing resources to provide more mattresses, ensuring each family received the support they needed. Additionally, factory bombings disrupted supply chains, limiting the availability of high-quality items. Despite these obstacles, the mattresses we sourced offered vital comfort and relief, demonstrating our flexibility and determination to make the best use of available resources.

Fatima, a mother of two, shared her gratitude for the comfort and dignity your support has provided. “Words cannot fully express how thankful my family and I are for the mattresses and blankets you have provided us,” she said. Forced to leave her home close to the border, Fatima and her family had been on the move for nearly a year, fleeing from town to town as hostilities intensified. When even their rented refuge was destroyed, they arrived at a shelter where, though there was a roof, conditions were difficult.
“Food is scarce, and every day is a struggle to make sure everyone has enough,” she shared. “The nights were the hardest, as we had no proper bedding to rest on.” Your support brought a tangible improvement to their lives, giving them a comfortable place to sleep. This relief has been invaluable for Fatima and her family, who, despite everything, have felt uplifted by knowing that others care. “Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
