At Baitul Hemayah Domestic Violence Shelter/ Penny Appeal USA, Thanksgiving is more than just a holiday—it’s a moment to come together as a family, share gratitude, and create memories that remind us of all of the resilience and strength within our community. This year, we celebrated Thanksgiving with our residents in a way that was filled with love, hope, and togetherness.
The dining room was transformed into a cozy haven of warmth and festivity, with tables adorned with autumn-themed decorations crafted by our residents and volunteers. The delicious aroma of turkey, stuffing, and sweet potato pie filled the air, thanks to the generosity of staff and the hard work of our Residence kitchen team.
From the first bite to the last sip of cider, every meal shared was a testament to the incredible support we receive from Penny Appeal USA. A special thanks to the Residents who worked tirelessly to prepare and enjoy the feast—you made this day unforgettable!

Before diving into the meal, they paused to reflect on what they were thankful for.
